Sugar Snap - Edible Pod- Ferry Morse

How to Sow and Plant

I Planted this indoor in seedling tray this year mid April where they'd get afternoon sun through window. They shot up in a weeks time, all seeds germinated.

How to Grow

The outdoor temperature shot up now to 70F High /42F Low. I planted them about 6 inches apart on either side, sprinkling water every morning and evening. I have the best luck growing on fence.

Planting in the Garden

By the time they grew into two vines about three inches high I planted them outdoor. These are wonderful. We had frost to 35F, but they came though just fine.

Harvesting
Not too long afterward I had beautiful tall stalks climbing up on the fence. Now we are rewarded with thick long vines. I picked handfull of these daily. Very sweet, not stringy, firm. The pods are sweet and are excellent in salads and as a snack.

Review
I'm trying again this fall/winter and I expect excellent performance.
